Katharina Rauber Born: 1708 Gronig, Duchy of Lorraine Died: 08 June 1786 (probably) Gronig, Schaumburg District, France

Katharina's parentage is unknown, although her last name was Schneider. Gronig is now part of Oberthal, and the coat of arms of Oberthal is shown here.

Katharina was the second wife of Matthias Rauber. They married on 22 November 1729, possibly in Bliesen.

In 1730 and 1732, Matthias and Katharina had two children:

1. Johanna (30 Oct 1730 - 29 Nov 1790)
   She married Johann Staub (1737-1760/2)
   She remarried to Peter Klein (b. 1742)
2. Maria (21 Dec 1732 - 30 Mar 1820)
   She married Johannes Wagner (1728-1807), who was the son of Johann Peter Wagener and Margaretha Hans.

Katharina died at age 78.
