Johann was the eldest of three children of Johannes Wagner and Katharina Staub.
Johann married Elisabeth Frantz on 1 February 1810 in Bliesen. The picture shows the coat of arms of the village.
Between 1811 and 1829, Johann and Elisabeth had twelve children, including Elisabeth Wagner.
Johann died at age 81.
