Bernard (Barney) Noe Born: 05 January 1875 Richfield Township, Lucas County, Ohio Died: 16 December 1942 Swanton, Fulton County, Ohio

Barney was the ninth of ten children of Barnhard Noe and Anna Mary Huffman.

Barney married Agnes Bartley on 16 June 1903 at St. Mary's in Toledo, Ohio.

Between 1905 and 1921, Barney and Anna had five children, including Francis Gilbert (Red) Noe.

Barney was a farmer and carpenter, and his family first lived on a 49-acre tract at the southwest corner of Section 18 of Richfield Township (the northeast corner of Sylvania Avenue and Fulton-Lucas County Road). The family then moved to Momeneetown, Ohio in 1912 or 1913, and Barney worked the farm of his father-in-law, Gebhard Bartley. They moved to Swanton, Ohio in about 1927, and lived at 103 Cass Street.

Barney died at his home at age 67 from arteriosclerosis and diabetes, and was buried on 19 December 1942 in St. Richard cemetery in Swanton. His tombstone can be seen here.
