Johannes' parentage is unknown.
Johannes married Maria Schneider before 1770, probably in Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.
In 1770, Johannes and Maria had Maria Haben.
After Maria's death, Johannes remarried to Johanna Barth. She was one of six children of Johannes Barth (1691-1736), who had been the mayor of Bliesen, and Catharina Stein (ca 1700-1786). The marriage took place on 11 February 1771, probably in Bliesen.
Johannes died just one month after his second marriage, at age 36.
