Maria Anna Bertele Born: 31 January 1776 Oberdorf, Duchy of Württemberg Died: 30 June 1832 Gmünd, Kingdom of Württemberg

Maria was the daughter of Johann Ammann and Barbara Brugger of Oberdorf, Württemberg. The coat of arms of the kingdom is shown here.

Maria married Johann Bertele on 29 May 1800 in Langenargen.

Between 1801 and 1817, Johann and Maria had ten children:

1. Johann (3 Jul 1801 - 28 Jan 1802)
   He died in infancy.
2. Theresia (b. 3 Sep 1802)
3. Agatha (b. 19 Jul 1804)
   She married in 1842.
4. Kreszenzia (b. 10 Sep 1805)
   She married in 1839.
5. Johanna (b. 16 Jul 1807)
   She married in 1839.
6. Anna Maria (b. 15 Sep 1808)
7. Viktoria (5 Sep 1810 - 5 Jun 1812)
   She died at the age of one.
8. Katharina (b. 21 Nov 1812)
   She immigrated to America.
9. Joseph Anton (b. 6 Jul 1814)
   He married in 1852.
10. Gebhard (28 Jan 1817 - 16 Jan 1887)
    He married Josefa Magdalena (Josephine) Ganter (1821-1859)
    He remarried to Julia Ritwegen (1831-1916)

The family moved to Gmünd in 1817.

Maria died at age 56 from peritonitis. She was buried on 3 July 1832 in Mariabrunn.
