Franz Josef Ganter Born: 10 February 1787 Free Imperial City of Buchhorn Died: 08 February 1846 Friedrichshafen, Kingdom of Württemberg

Franz was the third of six surviving children of Franz Josef Ganter and Magdalena Brugger of Buchhorn. The coat of arms of the city is shown here.

He worked as a surgeon.

Franz married Helena Menz on 10 November 1818 in Friedrichshafen.

Between 1819 and 1824, Franz and Helena had four children, including Josefa Magdalena (Josephine) Ganter.

He died at age 58 from "abdominal hardening," and was buried on 10 February 1846 in Friedrichshafen.
