Maria's parentage is unknown, although her maiden
name was Soliva. Her middle name was either
"Barbara" (which appears on her marriage record and the birth
record of her son Jachen) or "Margarita" (which appears on Jachen's
marriage record).
Maria married Thomas
Lombriser in 1802 in Trun, which was then part of the Helvetic
Republic. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.
Between 1805 and 1824, Thomas and Maria had eight children:
- Conradus (b. 30 Mar 1805)
He married Maria Domenica Monn (1813-1870)
- Maria Balognia (26 Apr 1807 - 1880)
She married Martin Josef Schwarz
- Gion Tumaisch (1810-1870)
He married Maria Antonia Spescha (1808-1870)
- Maria Christina (b. 1814)
She married Giachen Adelbert Maissen
- Maria Barbara (b. & d. 1818)
She died in infancy.
- Mattias Antoni (1818-1893)
He married Maria Barbla Belli (b. 1812)
He remarried to Gialletha Maria Decurtins (1823-1906)
- Jachen Pieder (22 Jun
1821 - 7 Jun 1904)
He married Margreta Catrina Rothmund
(1826-1910)
- Laus Giusep (1824-1880)
He married Maria Barbara Faller (1822-1889)
All their children were born in Trun, so the family lived there
during that period.
