Maria Barbara Creutz Born: 18 October 1727 Bliesen, Duchy of Lorraine Died: 27 January 1800 (probably) Bliesen, Department of the Moselle, France

Maria was the second of seven children of Wendelinus Thiel and Katharina Laub.

Maria married Petrus Creutz on 5 February 1755 in Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.

Between 1756 and 1769, Petrus and Maria had four children:

1. Catharina (b. 21 Jan 1756)
2. Johannes (26 Oct 1761 - 24 Dec 1795)
   He was unmarried.
3. Johann Nikolaus (b. 1 Oct 1765)
   He married Maria Haben (1770-1794)
   He remarried to Catharina Frantz (1777-1813)
4. Elisabetha (28 Jan 1769 - 7 Aug 1770)
   She died at the age of one.

The family apparently lived in Bliesen; their third child was definitely born there in 1765.

Maria died at age 72.
