Louie was the seventh of eight surviving children of Thomas Anthony Lumbrezer and Elizabeth (May) Ruppel.
Louie worked as a farmer.
He married Anna Bauer on 6 September 1911 at St. Mary's in Assumption, Ohio.
Between 1914 and 1935, Louie and Anna had eight children.
The family lived on the east side of Fulton-Lucas County Road, halfway between Frankfort and Bancroft Road. In later years, he and Anna moved into a smaller house to the south of their previous home.
Louie died at age 85 from a heart attack at his home, where he had been shoveling snow. He was buried on 9 February 1976 in St. Mary's cemetery in Assumption. He was survived by his wife, seven children, 26 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
