Elisabeth was the daughter of Johannes Gillen and Anna Maria Jung. She was born in Heisterberg.
Elisabeth married Peter
Kreutz on 19 (civil records) or 23 (church records)
February 1852 in Bliesen. The
picture shows the coat of arms of the village.
Between 1856 and 1870, Peter and Elisabeth had six children:
- Nikolaus (24 Feb 1856 - 5 May 1919)
Nikolaus is said to have emigrated to America, but he had returned
to Bliesen by 1890.
He married Maria Ambos (1861-1917)
- Elisabeth (3 Oct 1858 - 27 Aug 1880)
She died at the age of 21.
- Jacob Sylvester (30
Nov 1861 - 5 Jun 1948)
Jacob emigrated with his brother Peter in 1889. He worked as a
farmer.
He married Elisabeth Schmidt (1861-1914)
He remarried to Anna Engel (1865-1953)

Peter emigrated with his brother Jacob in 1889.
He married Mary Ann Gillen (1875-1945)
- Franz (b. 17 Jul 1867)
Franz emigrated to America, but the date is unknown. He went to
Canada in May 1898 during the Klondike gold rush, but did not find
any gold. He was living in San Francisco the following year. He may
have been unmarried.
- Barbara (7 Jan 1870 - 3 Jun 1880)
She died at the age of ten.
Elisabeth's date and place of death are unknown.
