Johannes Gillen Born: circa 1767? Heisterberg, Schaumburg District, France Died: after 1830 (probably) Heisterberg, Rhine Province, Prussia

Johannes was one of three children of Johannes Gillen and Anna Margaretha Klemm. He was born in Heisterberg.

[Transcripts of the Bliesen church records indicate that he was 43 years old at the time of his marriage, but his father would have been only seven if Johannes were born in 1767. It is more likely that he was born about twenty years later than the birth date shown above.]

Johannes married Anna Maria Jung on 6 February 1810 in Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.
